Built on stock, not on promises
A short history, told without the usual inflation. We have been trading since 2020 and we would rather you knew exactly what that means.
How we got here
Smartmoon Global Tech started in 2020 at Alaba International Market in Lagos, which is where electrical material in this country actually changes hands. Starting there rather than in an office was deliberate. If you want to understand what contractors need, what they get sold instead, and how often a project stalls for want of one item, Alaba teaches you faster than anywhere else.
The pattern we kept seeing was the same. Buyers were not short of suppliers. They were short of suppliers who had the item, could prove where it came from, and would say honestly when they did not have it. So we built around inventory and documentation instead of around a catalogue.
That took us from single orders to supplying a distribution company, which is a harder customer than any private buyer because their store inspects material against a specification. Passing that repeatedly opened the work we are best known for: T kits and STJ, overhead line materials, aluminium conductor and fibreglass ladders for live line crews.
Supplying transformers to the Kaduna State Government took us into public sector work, and installation followed naturally. Clients who trusted us to supply a transformer started asking us to install and commission it too, which is now a significant part of what we do.
Today we operate from Lagos, two locations in Port Harcourt, and Abuja. We are six years old. We are not going to claim five decades of heritage we do not have, and we have found that buyers respect the honesty more than they would have believed the alternative.
What that history looks like in practice
A selection of completed work, named where the client has agreed.
