Installation and commissioning
Supplying the unit is half the job. We install, terminate, test, commission and hand over transformers, ring main units and feeder pillars, and we sign off on site with you present.

What is included
A transformer or ring main unit that has been delivered but not properly installed is a liability sitting on a plinth. Cable termination, earthing and testing are where installations either become safe and maintainable or become a problem that surfaces at the worst possible moment.
We install and commission the equipment we supply. That includes setting the unit, terminating cables, earthing, testing and handing over with the client present. Because we supplied the unit, there is no argument about whether a fault is a supply problem or an installation problem. It is our problem either way.
We have completed transformer and ring main unit supply and installation as a single scope, and separate ring main unit installations including cable termination and testing. For most clients a single scope is simpler, cheaper and considerably easier to hold someone accountable for.

Site assessment
We look at the plinth, the cable route, the earthing and the access before anyone commits to a date.

Delivery and setting
The unit is delivered and set in position, by crane where the weight requires it.

Termination and testing
Cables terminated, earthing connected, and the installation tested before energising.

Commissioning and handover
Energised, commissioned and handed over with you present, and signed off.

Yes, we commission and hand over. Energising a connection to a DisCo network also involves the DisCo, and we work with them on that.
